“The Garden Fence of Sound” with David Newton

The Garden Fence Of Sound is a weekly trawl through the mounds of (mostly) vinyl that Brit ex-pat David Newton has accumulated on his travels, from his teenage punk years, those 80’s post-punk /d.i.y/ indie years (including his days as a Mighty Lemon Drop), with a smattering of today’s new sounds thrown in for good measure! Dave also works as a “creative/audio facilitator” for such luminaries as The Little Ones, The Blood Arm, The Movies, and Kissing Tigers, amongst others. PS: GFOS was a 1978 Mekons John Peel session track…… think of Phil Spector’s Wall Of Sound, but smaller!
